Brian Bowman joined the Andersen team in 2016. He was born in Fort Walton Beach, FL, but has lived in New Jersey, Ohio and Florida as an Air Force kid. Brian has been in North Carolina for 10 years, where he moved after meeting his wife on a blind date. Brian has worked in the HVAC field for 16 years and has his NATE and EPA certifications. In in spare time, Brian enjoys fixing things, riding his Victory and eating his wife’s cake pops.
Brian Ivester is originally from Winston Salem, NC and has been in Charlotte since 2011. He graduated from West Forsyth High School and served in the United States Marine Corps for 9 years, where he studied Air Traffic Control and Aviation Power Plant Mechanics for 7 years.
Brian worked in the aviation industry after his discharge from the military; with years of aviation mechanical experience, Brian has easily made the transition into the Heating and Air Conditioning industry and enjoys helping homeowners with his skills. When he isn’t helping Andersen take care of our customers, Brian enjoys biking, boating and skiing.
Ken previously worked for Andersen and recently came back to join our team. Ken is an experienced service technician who can quickly and efficiently diagnose any issues with your system.
Nelson Garcia is originally from El Salvador, and has been in the Charlotte area since 2004. He is a graduate of West Mecklenburg High School and attended Central Piedmont Community College for his HVAC certification. Nelson started working at Andersen a year after starting his degree in Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration at CPCC. He was recommended by his instructor and has now been with Andersen since 2010.
As a service technician, Nelson enjoys the opportunity to work with our customers and give them the excellent customer service they deserve.
Duncan Moody is originally from Concord, N.C. and has lived in the Charlotte area for 10 years. He attended Concord High School and Rowan-Cabarrus Community College where he earned certificates in Heating and Air Conditioning Repair, Technical I & II Certificates and a Certification in the Environmental Protection Agency. Duncan worked as retail manager for 4 years and a Manufacturing Supervisor in Quality Assurance for 12 years, before joining Andersen in 2010.
Ed McGrath worked for over 25 years in a supervisory position in the tire and rubber industry before going back to college. He has an Associates Degree in Applied Science in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration technology from Central Piedmont Community College. He is a Membership Chair of the National Technical Honor Society. Ed is an efficient team leader, produces quality work and solves problems.
Jonathan Jiminez was born in Guanajuato, Mexico, and has lived in Charlotte for 11 years. He is a graduate of Independence High School in Charlotte, is EPA/CFC certified and has been with Andersen for over 10 years, all of his adult life. Jonathan currently works as a preventative maintenance technician and previously did replacement installations. He enjoys the family atmosphere of Andersen, as well as the day-to-day trust the company places in him to do good work and ensure high customer satisfaction. Jonathan’s goal is to impact people’s lives in a positive manner. He enjoys soccer, pizza, Argentinian food and expressing feelings and emotions through music.
Irving Abundis started with Andersen in 2015, assisting Omar with
Omar Abundez was born in Mexico City, Mexico and has been in Charlotte for 16 years. He graduated from the Instituto Anglo Americano in Mexico, is EPA/CFC certified and has taken many HVAC-related classes at Central Piedmont Community College. Omar has been with Andersen all 16 years he has lived in Charlotte, and has worked as a new construction mechanic, a new construction supervisor, a replacement installer and a service technician. He has come to view Andersen as an extension of his family and enjoys meeting our customers and cheerfully ensuring they receive high quality service. Omar believes family is the foundation of true success in life. In his spare time Omar enjoys sports (including volleyball, basketball, soccer and handball), exercising, working as a volunteer sound board technician at his church and coaching soccer.
Julie Harwell is originally from Gastonia, N.C. She attended South Point High School and The University of North Carolina Charlotte. She also got her diploma in Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Repair at Gaston College. Julie joined Andersen Heating and Cooling in 2007, and her customers enjoy her professionalism and her dedication to going above and beyond.
Kelly Hornaday joined Andersen as a customer service representative in 2016. She brings years of experience in dispatching and customer service to the table. Kelly has lived in Charlotte her entire life and attended Central Piedmont Community College. In addition to her experience in customer service, Kelly is also a Certified Nursing Assistant. When she’s not busy striving to be a great role model for her kids, Kelly enjoys movie nights, weekends at the beach, shopping and baking.
Lauren Kerley previously worked in medical office administration and retail management before coming to work at Andersen in 2013. Lauren was born in Charlotte and grew up in Kannapolis, graduating from A.L. Brown High School. She enjoys shooting pool, thrifting, antiquing and spending time with her stepson, and hopes to become a homeowner in the next five years. Melissa Bittle joined the Andersen team in 2016, bringing a decade of experience in the HVAC industry and an extensive customer service background. As a Charlotte native, Melissa attended West Charlotte High School and East Carolina University. When she’s not busy trying to conquer the world, Melissa loves reading, shopping, traveling and spending time with her kids.
Jennifer Beatty is the Customer Service Supervisor and has been with Andersen since 2010. Originally from Cambridge, OH, she has lived in the Charlotte area for 26 years and graduated from high school in Concord, NC. Jennifer provides a variety of functions to Andersen, including dispatching, parts ordering, sales and customer service. Jennifer enjoys working with the great people of Andersen; when she isn’t cooking, she is busy watching sports, listening to music and selling Tupperware.
Amanda Overcash is originally from Charlotte, NC and recently rejoined the Andersen team after a three year move to the North Carolina coast. She was previously with Andersen from 2005-2011, after graduating from UNC Charlotte with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. Amanda heads up Andersen’s marketing and accounting efforts, and strives to make Andersen the HVAC company of choice in the Charlotte area. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys reading, spending time with her niece and exploring her hometown.
Mark Luther was born and raised in Charlotte, and has been with Andersen since 1994. He holds his North Carolina Mechanical License and has had extensive training through CPCC and the Heat Pump Skills Center in Troy, NC. Mark currently works as the replacement supervisor and warehouse manager, and has also worked as an installer and new construction/custom home supervisor. Mark strives to make Andersen a household name through customer satisfaction and quality work. He appreciates Andersen’s dedication to being a stable and reliable company. In his spare time, Mark enjoys golfing, hunting, shooting and cooking.
Dale Andersen was born in Austin, Minnesota and has been in Charlotte since 1996, when he started with Andersen. He holds an Associates Degree in mechanical engineering and liberal arts, as well as his North Carolina Contractors License, NATE certification, mechanical journeyman’s card, steam license and EPA certification. Dale has experience as a high-rise building operating engineer, HVAC service technician, service manager, replacement manager and inside/outside salesman. He strives to help Andersen be as successful as possible and enjoys the team atmosphere.
Carrie Ivester has been with Andersen since 2003, when she came to the company soon after graduating from UNC Charlotte. Born and raised in Winston-Salem and Forsyth County, Carrie holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from UNCC and has her Professional Human Resource (PHR) certificate. As General Manager of Andersen, Carrie works daily to grow Andersen to be the company of choice in the Charlotte area, and to maintain and grow our loyal customer base. Carrie believes Andersen has grown to be part of her family and that the values and morals of Andersen set us apart from other companies. In her spare time, Carrie enjoys mountain biking, snow skiing, water skiing, boating and spending time with family and friends.
